Another example of intertextuality

What happens in this scene ?

In this scene we see the man chasing the woman with a big shiny knife which has been borrowed from the shower scene in"Psycho". As the woman hides in the bathroom the man has kicked the door open and attacks the woman with the knife in her defence she stabs him in the neck with a piece of a broken mirror glass. The man falls in the bath and as he falls he catches the shower curtain and rips it as he falls .

Some obvious aspects have been borrowed from Alfred Hitchcock's famous shower scene in "Psycho". For example the big shiny knife borrowed from "Psycho's" mise en scene which has also been used  in the shower scene where Norman attacks Marion. Also the white shower curtain which rips as the man falls in the bath after being stabbed.
