Suspenseful shots

OVER THE SHOULDER SHOT:

This shot raises tension in the audience as we are looking from the main characters point of view, when over the shoulder shot is used we fear for the characters life, because it looks like someone is watching over them and is getting ready to attack them. Normally when over the shoulder shots are used the person behind are disguised.


CLOSE UP SHOT:

Close ups are used to increase and build tension in the atmosphere, as we know that the person is in danger, conveyed through the tense facial expression expressed in close ups. This brings the audience closer to the audience.






EXTREME CLOSE UP SHOT:

Extreme close ups make the audience anxious because it deprives them from what is happening. extreme close ups are normally shots of the characters features, making audience imagine that they were the character.
